Liverpool Fast Becoming Joke Of English Football

When your title challenge was ultimately beaten down and rubbed deep into the ground by an ex-Newcastle player who should have stayed at Tyneside given his natural art of defensive talents, you deserve nothing more than boos and ridicule. The only way to save Rafa's job now is to convince Liverpool's American owners to part with a few hundred million quid for a first-class team.

Of course, they have to leave the buying to someone who could actually spot proper decent class. I must say the owners have to share the blame. One of them could afford a multi-million pound deal for a baseball player yet balks at the manager's request for reinforcements. If they wanted to make loads of money from football, they chose the wrong club. After Spurs, Liverpool has probably the most demanding set of fans. Not only do they want beautiful passing football (like Spurs), they want to win as well (unlike Spurs).

Maybe they could start by buying Title Bramble.
