Carling Cup 9/1/2008 - Arsenal vs Tottenham Hotspur - Highlights

Well the live commentary and telecast of the Carling Cup semi final between Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur was amazing. Now for the soccer highlights. It is always a pleasure watching the hot-blooded passion on show by the two sets of fans and you rarely get any trouble. I guess Arsenal fans must really be the most peace loving lot ever. It's quite understandable when your team is named after someone's butt.

And perhaps being called names gives you the benefit of the doubt when it comes to Lady Luck. Strangely Arsenal could not score against a team like Spurs but maybe it's due to someone missing between the sticks for Spurs. Ramos must have made the right choice but if I were a Spurs fan I would be worried that our manager might allow himself to be held ransom by an obvious prima donna of a player in Berbatov. News reports have surfaced that Berbatov has demanded that players like Darren Bent, Defoe and Robinson be gotten rid of because he feels they are not good enough to play with him. Oh and guess what? Ramos decided to relent and is following orders from the star player. He might have to buy a totally new team but which established quality player would want to come to Spurs?

At the end of the day it had to come to a lucky goal for Arsenal to force a draw. It arrived when Walcott contrived to let the ball bounce off him into the goal. It showed how much of a future England has in its youth. He came up trumps when required and Fabio Capello should keep an eye on this speedy youngster. A real gem and diamond in the making. Maybe he could now become a sponsor for Soccer Rag soccer balls.

Ok, it seems like the Carling Cup highlights for Arsenal vs Spurs have not been released but why not feast your eyes on a much better game. Same game actually, just different stadium and year. More goals as well. Feast your eyes on these Carling Cup highlights:
