The dust has settled after the first semi final last night and tonight this live commentary UEFA Champions League match between Chelsea and Liverpool will be the focus of every soccer fan on the planet as they await to find out who will be the team to face Manchester United in the final in May next month. Unexpectedly, this tie has been the one with the more exciting and dramatic moments and action, instead of turning out to be the bore game that many experts have claimed that it would be, due no doubt to the past history of their meetings in the same competition in previous years. Both Chelsea and Liverpool have instead turned this live soccer match into something of a spectacle, with drama, action, last minute goals and no lack of inter sniping between managers, players and even within club management. Sandwiched in between was the live football match in the English Premier League that Chelsea beat Manchester United and breathed new life into the title race. Suddenly, Avram Grant looks like a manager with ability to beat the top teams and will continue to try to do that tonight. It will again be a tough game, but could be made easier with their impressive home record and Liverpool's lack of one at Stamford Bridge. Many signs point to this live commentary and online TV soccer game between Chelsea and Liverpool being a win for the home team, and they are hard to ignore for many experts.
After having achieved so much in the competition, Rafael Benitez will hope his team can do it at least one more time in this live commentary and live streaming radio telecast UEFA Champions League match between Chelsea and Liverpool as their whole season now hinges on this game to continue having hopes of success. Without a trophy this season will probably be a bad omen for Benitez and he could be making the right moves to be siding with Tom Hicks in the boardroom actually because DIC and Gillett actually do want to get rid of him but are playing the PR game right now due to fans being on the Spaniard's side, and the two parties are cleverly making use of Tom Hicks' naivety in football politics to make him the fall guy in the whole crisis. Watching the many Liverpool live soccer matches online will sometimes witness the few selected protests against the huge portly American owner but they might have been taken in by Parry and Gillett in the secret boardroom politics at Anfield. Whatever it is, the focus now has to be on this live commentary and live streaming TV broadcast soccer match between Chelsea and Liverpool at Stamford Bridge because they need to win this and might actually do so, as they have done on so many occasions to turn a blind eye to history and records in this competition and emerge triumphant.

26/4/2008 English Premier League Live - Birmingham vs Liverpool
Can Birmingham save themselves from relegation and stay in the top flight for one more season we can only start to guess from this live commentary English Premier League match between Birmingham and Liverpool as the permutations are starting to become mind boggling with no one team being able to sustain any sort of form for a prolonged period of time. Birmingham has been on the edge of trouble for a while now and been in and out for a while but now they do not have many games left to save themselves so they really need to put together a run of points or face confirmation of relegation within the next two weeks. They need to make their home games count and this live commentary and online TV EPL match between Birmingham and Liverpool is a must must win for them, if they do not win, they can probably start believing that they will join Derby and Fulham for the drop, especially since they should have been long safe by now after the dreadful runs of both Bolton and Fulham before last week.
They will have to contend with a Reds side still smarting from their mindboggling draw with Chelsea in midweek and will use this live commentary and live streaming radio telecast English Premier League match between Birmingham and Liverpool to recover some morale and confidence as they know they will face a very difficult second leg trip to Stamford Bridge where they have never ever scored a single goal under Benitez. Even for this game, they will probably rest the likes of Gerrard, Torres, Hyppia, and more as they need them fresh for the second leg where the competition has now become their last hope for a trophy this season and even if they manage to overcome Chelsea, they will probably have to face the incredible Manchester United whom they have not beaten for ages. So this live commentary and live streaming TV broadcast soccer match between Birmingham and Liverpool will serve no more than a distraction for them as they prepare for their crunch semi final against Chelsea in midweek.

22/4/2008 UEFA Champions League Live - Liverpool vs Chelsea
Anfield will once again play host to a massive live commentary UEFA Champions League semi final where Liverpool will host Chelsea in a much anticipated radio broadcast soccer match tonight. While much has been made of the dour encounters between the two in the recent past in the same competition, there can be no denial that these tussles are titanic in measure and the lack of goals have hidden the fact that they have actually been filled with much drama in other ways, of which the most memorable was Luis Garcia's 'ghost goal' for Liverpool which ultimately won them the tie the first time these two teams met, and eventually the Champions League trophy. These games are not for the football purist, but for the football tactician or strategist, which unless you look like Rafael Benitez, will not be your cup of tea, or indeed of most soccer fans'. The pre match hype before this live commentary and online TV soccer match between Liverpool and Chelsea has predictably concentrated on either side's star players, but it could really be down to the low key but just as effective players who will decide the game's outcome over two legs.
These players include Michael Essien (if he gets to start under Avram Grant as he has been sidelined numerous times in recent weeks for some unknown reason) and Joe Cole from Chelsea, and Liverpool's Carragher and Mascherano will be the ones to watch in this live commentary and live streaming radio telecast UEFA Champions League semi final between Liverpool and Chelsea at Anfield. If there are too many whiners now in the Chelsea team due to bruised egos, Essien certainly is not within that bracket, and his undying efforts during games will be sorely needed to keep players like Torres and Gerrard at bay. Together in tandem with Makelele, they will be key to stopping the Anfield juggernaut from progressing further once again in this competition. Joe Cole will be required for his invention, which Chelsea sorely lacks as they depend too much on pure brute power play to create openings. Carragher as usual will have to up his game to force Chelsea as far away from the goal as possible, even if his standard has dipped sometimes this season but obviously one cannot expect a player to be at 100% every match. Mascherano will need to keep his crazy antics under control and keep things tidy between defence and midfield for Liverpool. This is also the reason why games between the two sides like this live commentary and live streaming TV broadcast soccer tie between Liverpool and Chelsea often end up in a deadlock, with a single mistake the likely reason to break any stalemate.

8/4/2008 UEFA Champions League Live - Liverpool vs Arsenal
Can Arsenal overcome an away goal disadvantage and a hostile Anfield crowd to make it through to the semi finals against huge odds in this live commentary and radio broadcast UEFA Champions League match between Liverpool and Arsenal, or will Liverpool ride the home support and once again show themselves to be the European force that they are, even if they fail time and again in the English Premier League to compete with the best? There are so many questions in the air over this tie as the tension and expectations are heavy with it being the clash of the round and the two teams have so much at stake, with their seasons on the line. After such a bright start to the league campaign and delighting football fans all around the world with their exquisite attacking football, Arsenal now stare at down the barrel of a gun with nothing to show for all their efforts this season if they were to lose this live commentary and TV telecast UEFA Champions League game between them and Liverpool at Anfield and be eliminated from the competition. They might still be in with a shout for the league title, but it is really Manchester United's to lose and that would be unlikely to happen.
However, Liverpool as a team has much more to lose in this live commentary and streaming radio telecast Champions League tie between them and Arsenal, as they have zero chance in the league, and have once again flattered to deceive with all their pre season hype and promises. Their only hope of a trophy this season lies in this tournament, and while they might get past this round, it is difficult to see them lifting it unless another miracle comes along like it did a couple of years ago when Steven Gerrard inspired a comeback and the Anfield boys created history. Looking ahead, if they advance to the finals and meet Manchester United, given their recent record against the Red Devils, it is hard to see anything other than another thrashing at the hands of their deadly rivals. At the moment it is hardly even a rivalry, as they get beat time and again by Ferguson's men, due in part to the subliminal inferiority complex they seem to have when taking to field against them, defending instead of going at their throats. It appears to be different against Arsenal now as they have gained confidence from the two draws at the Emirates Stadium, and also because they believe they own the European competition. So this live commentary and live streaming TV broadcast Champions League match between Liverpool and Arsenal might see a win for the home team, but whether they will go on to win it is unlikely, unless they meet a team other than Manchester United.

5/4/2008 English Premier League Live - Arsenal vs Liverpool
Pretty soon we will all be sick of seeing these two sides playing each other but before that happens, this live commentary and radio broadcast English Premier League match between Arsenal and Liverpool will once again take centre stage in the English game as it is the second in the three game series the clubs will play over a period of a week. The Reds escaped with a draw in midweek in the Champions League when they were absolutely torn apart on occasions by Arsene Wenger's young team and were lucky not to have conceded a penalty and the conspiracy rumours have quickly started flying as soon as news of the referee and Dirk Kuyt having known each other due to being from the same town spread to journalists and fans alike. Dirk Kuyt was the Liverpool player involved in the contentious penalty incident and it is now implied that there might have been some subliminal favourtism shown there towards the player in a decision but that is really utter bollocks if you ask me.
Arsene Wenger will definitely use the incident and perceived injustice to gee up his players for this live commentary and TV telecast English Premier League soccer match between Arsenal and Liverpool. The game is still important to both sides as Arsenal are still in with a chance of the EPL title although they must ensure that they win every single game in the hope that Manchester United somehow drops points in the run up. Unlikely, but still possible. Liverpool can reinforce their grip on fourth if they win again and the chasing pack falter, but they must first concentrate on their own results. Getting a point at the Emirates Stadium is never easy, and Arsenal have had Liverpool's number of late, and you always wonder how Benitez will prioritise the club's objectives, so it really depends on what kind of team they take to the field with. Mascherano will definitely be out of this live commentary and live streaming radio broadcast soccer game between Arsenal and Liverpool after having his ban extended by two matches following the crazy sending off he got at Old Trafford. It will be interesting to see if Lucas Leiva will replace him again in the league and how he performs against the ball players of Arsenal. Steven Gerrard might have to take over some of the responsibilities of breaking up play and that might affect the link up play between him and Torres. And it also remains to be seen if Torres will play any part in this live commentary and live TV telecast English Premier League soccer game between Arsenal and Liverpool, or if he will be rest for the Champions League. You never know with any match Liverpool is involved in.

23/3/2008 English Premier League - Manchester United vs Liverpool
This has been a long awaited clash between the two teams as they gear up for this live online radio commentary between Manchester United and Liverpool. Alex Ferguson's team is once again aiming to win the title and must be feeling very close to their objective now, what with Arsenal and Chelsea faltering and never making full use of their few opportunities to close the gap. Considering that Manchester United have not been in the best of form recently in the league, the top of the table should be a lot tighter compared to the few points that they are leading at the moment. Last week's win at Derby perfectly illustrated the resilience and tenacity of the Red Devils and if it were not for those qualities, Ferguson might not have been sitting in the hot seat for this long, nor would there have been so many indisciplines by the players largely ignored by media and management when they should have been punished harshly for it. Teams like Portsmouth will agree to the fact that Manchester United are not invincible, but unfortunately Arsenal and Chelsea have fallen to the illusion this season and will probably end up behind them at the end of the season.
Will Liverpool be another team that will succumb to the Red Devils in this live online radio commentary and TV telecast EPL match between Manchester United and Liverpool? Or can Benitez finally break his jinx against the Red Devils and finally get a league victory against them under his belt. No doubt the Liverpool coach has been a master in cup competitions with another evidence in the FA Cup win against their deadly rivals a few seasons ago. But in the English Premier League it has been one disappointment after another as Liverpool has either been thrashed or got the hard luck loss where they dominate but fail to make their chances count. And it has been Liverpool's story for years - not making their chances count. For a club that once had successful strikers in many of their past sides, it has taken them till this season to find another one that might potentially be their top player in years to come - Fernando Torres. But will this young Spanish sensation be able to put the Red Devils to the sword in this live online radio commentary match between Manchester United and Liverpool live on TV, or will he be another flash in the pan? So far the evidence suggests that Torres is the real thing, having scored against mediocre teams as well as established and strong opponents, but the acid test will be against the team currently dominating the English game, Manchester United.

15/3/2008 English Premier League - Liverpool vs Reading
Liverpool are on a roll and play Reading in this live online commentary English Premier League match at Anfield, eager to build on their recent unbeaten run in a bid to beat Everton to the fourth Champions League qualification spot and at the same time win the Champions League itself. They will face a resurgent Reading team that are themselves trying to recover from a previous eight game losing streak after two wins in their last two games which have given them some breathing space in the crowded relegation battle at the bottom of the EPL. Steve Coppell has been heartened by his team's much improved performances and as the old adage goes, if you win games, you will play with confidence, and that is what Reading has started to do. Their win last week over Manchester City was all about the Reading of old - dynamic, determined, and a credit to teams in the English Premier League with smaller budgets but who go about the game the right way. While they face a tough fight with many other teams to secure their top flight status, many neutrals love what Reading has to offer, and would definitely like to see them remain.
Liverpool have now put together an impressive unbeaten run which has included huge margin victories and with star striker Fernando Torres on fire, Rafael Benitez's players will be full of confidence for their live online commentary and streaming radio broadcast English Premier League match at Anfield against Reading. The Reds have experienced the same confidence boosting results which have translated to better performances on the pitch, and the pairing of Steven Gerrard and Fernando Torres is gelling at the right time as the club moves into a critical period of their season which will determine their future for next season. The Champions League draw against Arsenal might not have been the most ideal, given their record against the Gunners, but their European success would raise their morale for the tie, even if they know that the game will essentially be no different from the two clubs playing each other in the league. However, Liverpool must first concentrate on the matter at hand and it is to win this live online commentary and streaming radio telecast EPL match against Reading.
With Torres on form and Reading not having the best defence in the league, Liverpool might favour themselves to win this game. The home crowd will get behind them although Reading has enough self belief to mix it up with the best of them. There will be some doubts as to whether Benitez will field his best players for this game even if he knows that every remaining match in the EPL is now equivalent to a cup final like this live online commentary and streaming broadcast match against Reading, especially given Everton's recent solid form which does not appear to be ending anytime soon.

Can Liverpool Sustain Their New Found Momentum?
Or will it be a rather unfamiliar sad end to their season which has constantly threaten to be derailed week to week with unending stories of boardroom disputes and ownership changes? While the team played well enough against a disinterested West Ham side that bordered on embarrassment, fans and owners George Gillett and Tom Hicks continued to bicker and one wonders if this will ever end considering that Hicks has steadfastly refused to sell the club till his own private valuation is met or he would just sit tight and pump any profits from Liverpool to his other two American sports franchises, which do not exactly do very well in any case on most occasions. Surely he must realise that if this were to continue till the end of the season, players like Gerrard and Torres might actually horror of horrors, start to consider their futures elsewhere because nobody wants to play for an unsettled club which has its trophy tilts threatened by instability within the club. It is a lose lose situation for the large Texan and if he were truly a businessman, he should realise that business in sports has a large emotional quotient tied to it and it might be better for him to take what he can now and leave.
On the field, Torres made Liverpool look good upfront despite players missing a whole boatload of chances created. The good thing is that the Anfield club continues to create lots of chances, but the bad thing is that without Torres, they continue to look toothless upfront and confidence never carries from game to game, in fact, they often have to rely on scoring first and early before the nerves are settled, even in front of their own fans. Benitez really should spend less time on his tactical selections and strategies as they are good enough and perhaps employ a decent sports psychologist to get the mental part of his team's game up to par with everything else. The real quality that separates the Manchester Uniteds and Arsenals from Liverpool is the mental edge that even mediocre players like Darren Fletcher seem to have compared to other more talented Liverpool players like Babel or Alonso, regardless of position. And it is this factor that Liverpool must brush up on in order to sustain their new found momentum on the last remaining Champions League spot in the English Premier League, or risk losing it to a 'small club' that Benitez so famously, and foolishly, branded Everton.

UEFA Champions League 19/2/2008 - Liverpool vs Inter Milan
In the first of four UEFA Champions League live commentary and play by play soccer match that are featuring English Premier League clubs, Liverpool face off at Anfield with Inter Milan in what could ultimately prove to be Rafael Benitez's last match in charge. In fact, Benitez should long have gone from Liverpool if he was a smart man, and if Liverpool fans were themselves clever enough to recognise that this stubborn manager only knew how to handle Europe, but did not have a clue as to what to do in the English Premier League despite having had at least three years to experiment with and in the process, pissing away the Anfield club's money, then they wouldn't have a club now sinking into debt and perhaps relegation next season after failing to qualify for the Champions League next season by missing out on fourth spot this term. The American owners, despite undermining Benitez in public, aren't even the real problems, as they bankrolled Benitez's flops so they had all the right in the world to do what they wanted to the manager. Don't even start to argue that the players did fine - Babel scores but unimportant goals, he couldn't even get past Barnsley most of the match. Skrtel was found out by a bunch of rubbish collectors and teachers. Benayoun is terribly inconsistent. Kuyt is nothing but a hardworking grafter. Torres is useless if he keeps sitting on the bench. Pennant is a headless chicken. And there's more where that came from.
Surprisingly, this live commentary and radio broadcast soccer match in the UEFA Champions League between Liverpool and Inter Milan at Anfield might actually provide an upset in the form of Liverpool going through to the next round. Liverpool have done well whenever they have been underdogs, and that's the legend of the club. Inter Milan has had it easy throughout the season in the Italian Serie A, and have not impressed considerably in the earlier rounds of the Champions League. This live commentary and TV telecast UEFA Champions League soccer match might actually show up a few of Inter Milan's flaws in that they lose concentration at times every match and have not had to go beyond first gear in most league matches so far, which would be in contrast to a match like this when they would need to be at their best throughout. Benitez has also, to his credit, shone on the European stage, but honestly, that is not enough for Liverpool. What Liverpool needs is a league title after almost two decades without one. And the horrible truth is that if Benitez manages to go and win the Champions League title, it might just cover up the cracks and lead to a even worser future for the club.
Again, this live commentary and radio broadcast soccer match in the UEFA Champions League between Liverpool and Inter Milan is a hard one to call under the circumstances as Liverpool would be desperate to do well since this is their last chance of a trophy this season although not a realistic one given the quality of the opposition left in the competition and if Manchester United does not get knocked out, then there is simply no way Liverpool can overcome that hurdle. Inter Milan has a better team and form but they have not been sufficiently challenged in the past two years and remember they actually struggled last season in this tournament. The most logical way this live commentary and TV telecast UEFA Champions League soccer match between Liverpool and Inter Milan will go is that of a low scoring draw, but do not be shocked if many goals result from a desperate team, on the right end or not.

English FA Cup 16/2/2008 - Liverpool vs Barnsley
The media is smelling a great big upset in this live commentary and play by play English FA Cup soccer match between giants Liverpool and minnows Barnsley. Why would they think so? Mainly because of the crisis that continues unabated at Anfield, and now they have a sudden defensive headache as well. Sami Hyppia is not entirely fit from an injury, Martin Skrtel has been dealt an injury blow as well after seemingly having slowly clawed his way back from an embarrassing outing against Havant and Waterlooville, and Daniel Agger is still nowhere to be seen as injury setback after setback continues to dog the young Danish player of the year. On top of that, Rafael Benitez is proving to be a poor manager by insisting that he will stick to his rotational policy and will rest Steven Gerrard and Fernando Torres for this game. Obviously he has great belief in his reserves but it also shows that he isn't interested in the FA Cup and still thinks he has a great chance in the Champions League against Inter Milan. Of course he does, since Inter Milan has actually struggled against quality opponents in Europe this season but then again that's against quality opponents.
Barnsley are all fired up and raring to go in this live commentary and radio broadcast soccer match in the English FA Cup against Liverpool as they are buying into the hype and determined to create a huge upset here. However, the strength in depth that is obvious at Liverpool is not present at Barnsley as they have had to draft in a loan player from West Brom to feature in their goal. Luke Steele will debut for Barnsley in this game and he is a young inexperienced goalkeeper at this competitive level and it remains to be seen if he would shine at Anfield or crumble due to nerves in this pulsating live commentary and TV telecast English FA Cup soccer match between Liverpool and his team Barnsley. However the stats have shown that on Barnsley's last trip to Anfield in the English Premier League nearly a decade ago, they actually scored an incredible win over Liverpool.
Despite the knives out in full force waiting for Benitez to fall flat on his face in this live commentary and radio broadcast English FA Cup soccer match between his club Liverpool and underdog Barnsley, Liverpool does have decent backups in store, even if they are not quite up to the mark overall for their title ambitions. On top of that, Liverpool will play at home at Anfield and they have their vociferous, if somewhat naive, home crowd to roar them on to another stay of execution win for Benitez. If newspaper reports are to be believed, Liverpool will experience their second new ownership in less than a year by the end of this or next month. If that happens, this live commentary and TV telecast English FA Cup match between Liverpool and Barnsley might very well be Rafael Benitez's swansong in the oldest knockout soccer cup competition in the world.

EPL 10/2/2008 - Chelsea vs Liverpool
There has been much less focus on this live commentary and play by play English Premier League soccer match between Chelsea and Liverpool at Stamford Bridge compared to previous seasons and encounters due to the fact that Liverpool has now been rubber stamped as an also ran and a club deep in crisis, while Chelsea continue to challenge for the EPL title by grinding out wins but the truth is that while Avram Grant has the charisma to squeeze his way into the manager's seat and a string of wins from his players, he does not have the tactical acumen to overcome Chelsea's major rivals in Manchester United and Arsenal. However, he does belong to the growing club of managers who have shown Rafael Benitez how to actually win in the EPL without the need for rotation and still having a squad strong enough to keep going over the course of a long season.
Liverpool continues to lurch from one disaster to another and despite a morale boosting win over Sunderland last week, it did not paper over the cracks that have been existent in this team and Rafael Benitez's management style for a long time. This live commentary and radio broadcast English Premier League game between Chelsea and Liverpool will continue to show what an ineffective motivator Benitez is - tactics can only get you that far. If your team suffers from a confidence crisis you need to be able to motivate and encourage them, like how Ferguson, Moyes, Wenger, Mourinho or even Grant does. Unfortunately, Benitez has continued to show he is unable to catch hold of his players' attention at crucial times and bring the best out of them. If he really feels that these players deserve the kind of money that Liverpool has paid out for them, then he should be able to unearth the talent from them to be consistently displayed for Liverpool's benefit, such as in this live commentary and TV telecast game that would be crucial to their hopes of securing that fourth Champions League slot.
It is highly likely that Chelsea would once again scrape to another win over Liverpool in this live commentary and radio broadcast English Premier League soccer match. While Chelsea are not crowd pleasers and certainly nothing pretty to watch despite Avram's claim that he would change Mourinho's style of play, they are still extremely effective and should easily remain in third and perhaps usurp second place if Arsenal flops in the run up to the end of the season. Liverpool unfortunately suffer from bad American ownership, bad players and a failing manager. While Benitez is favoured by many fans due to his dedication and for his efforts in winning the Champions League, he does not have the ability to deliver the English Premier League crown to Liverpool now, in the near future, nor ever in the distant. This would once again be evident in this live commentary and TV telecast soccer match in the EPL between Chelsea and Liverpool tonight.

EPL 2/2/2008 - Liverpool vs Sunderland Match Highlights
Liverpool managed to squeeze out their first win of the season since Boxing Day when they finally overwhelmed Sunderland at Anfield, but not before looking no different from the lowly English Premier League team in the first half, and also for parts of the second. Liverpool look decidedly out of sorts and a team short of confidence, but as always, need to score before they would show any urgency or ideas, which is a worrying problem since Benitez took over. No doubt about it Benitez has some nifty ideas of his own, but the man is not a motivator and when your team is in a rut, you need to be able to inspire your team to victory and he can't. A pity, he has to leave. Here are some match highlights of the 3-0 win over Sunderland on Saturday by Liverpool at Anfield.

EPL 2/2/2008 - Liverpool vs Sunderland
This live commentary and play by play soccer match in the English Premier League between two clubs in crisis Liverpool and Sunderland should in all honesty be a walkover for the home side Liverpool as they are a club with a rich history and had even recently won the Champions League a few seasons back although that in all honesty was quite a fluke in the first place. With players like Steven Gerrard and Fernando Torres, Liverpool should be a club capable of tearing apart any team just like what Manchester United does to every team nowadays. However, they have a mental block every time, are suffering from a rotation policy that has shown itself not to work at all in the English Premier League but their stubborn manager insists that it does and quotes statistics to show that he is winning with it but the true statistic is that he has not won the English Premier League with such a policy the only thing he has gotten is a Champions League slot and mostly fourth spot, and other than Torres, they do not have a striker who knows where the goal is.
Sunderland on the other hand are even worse and get buried in almost every live commentary and radio broadcast soccer game in the English Premier League in which they are involved. They recently got a morale boosting win in midweek but this game might bring them back down to earth with a resounding thump. Roy Keane still looks clueless in his first season back in the English Premier League as manager and he continues to buy Irish internationals who have failed at the English Premier League level such as Andy Reid this week before transfer deadline and tell me how such a player would be able to guarantee safety in the EPL. In fact, it looks more likely that Roy Keane feels that Sunderland are only good enough for the Championship so he is already planning for next season and probably wishes that they stay in that division. No team could possibly reach his level of expectation except for maybe Manchester United but again only if that team has players as good as he was, or so he thinks.
So in this live commentary and TV telecast soccer game in the English Premier League between Liverpool and Sunderland, we might actually see some relief for the Anfield giants with a good win and many goals. If Liverpool fail to do so, they might really be headed the way of Leeds, and not only should the American owners leave the club, they have to change the manager too. Benitez was good for his time and won us the Champions League bless his soul, but he cannot deliver the prize we so want and that is the English Premier League. Not to mention he has literally wasted most of our money on dodgy players - some of them might be good but seriously, if they were that good, we should have won the EPL title by now but look at Manchester United they have got young hopefuls like Ronaldo and turned them into world beaters what has Benitez done with his acquisitions? Throw them in against part timers and see them get run inside out. Despite all this, it should be a Liverpool win in this live commentary and radio broadcast soccer match in the English Premier League against Sunderland, offering temporary relief and some points as we struggle for fourth spot.

EPL 30/1/2008 - West Ham vs Liverpool
The media focus and hype continue to be on the English club in crisis Liverpool in this live commentary and play by play soccer match in the English Premier League between home team West Ham and Liverpool. Much has been said about the debacle against Havant and Waterlooville and how Liverpool struggled to beat a non-league side even at Anfield but they fail to mention that most of the Liverpool core side that most people are familiar were not playing and Benitez fielded a disjointed team and shape that has hardly ever played together and you can honestly only depend on first teamers to be able to do well in rotational systems and in such a high profile match against the non leaguers the second stringers are likely to break under pressure but on the other hand if they want to play for Liverpool they should be able to cope with that kind of pressure. They are unlikely to get a look in in this crucial English Premier League match against West Ham and guys like Steven Gerrard, Alonso, and Torres should be back as Liverpool try to get some much needed reprieve and result against West Ham.
However, they are unlikely to get much help in this live commentary and radio broadcast soccer match from a tigerish West Ham side that are no pushovers at home. They have beaten the likes of Manchester United at home even with Ronaldo in the side so you know you can no longer take them lightly, even if they have the impotent Alan Curbishley at the helm. While I do not think too much of Curbishley as a manager, but he has shown he can avoid relegation with clubs he has managed so he still has some use before West Ham owners can find a better manager who wouldn't mind helming a little known team like West Ham. Face it West Ham fans your club is little known because it is the 2000's now no longer the 70s or 60s and even then it was known more for your hooligans. But I got to hand it to West Ham, they will step right into Liverpool players' faces today and give no quarter.
While Liverpool's top players are back for this live commentary and TV telecast soccer match in the English Premier League against West Ham, it is unlikely they are going to get any reprieve and relief from their recent crisis and get any result from this game. Liverpool's players have continued to be weak mentally in the English Premier League as they only rise to occasions in the Champions League. Get ready for another 'upset' in this game as West Ham will trample all over Liverpool in this live commentary and radio broadcast English Premier League soccer match and push Liverpool further away from the Champions League slot and into financial ruin.

FA Cup 26/1/2008 - Liverpool vs Havant and Waterlooville Match Highlights
Here are some highlights of the incredible FA Cup match between Liverpool and Havant and Waterlooville in which the giants Liverpool struggled to overcome the non-league side before emerging triumphiant with a 5-2 win courtesy of a Youssi Benayoun hattrick but with little else to cheer about. Benitez continues to stick to his rotational system which works only in other European leagues but not in the English Premier League nor any English competitions. The feeling is that he does not really care for much anymore and is waiting to walk away from the club, after having been undermined by Tom Hicks the terrible Yank and the person looking to destroy Liverpool with his antics.

FA Cup 26/1/2008 - Liverpool vs Havant & Waterlooville
In this momentous FA Cup live commentary and radio broadcast soccer match betwee English Premier League giant Liverpool and non-leaguers Havant & Waterlooville, the media would have you believe that Liverpool are on the ropes and they might be in for a shock against the little Havant team. If you are able to get past the media nonsense, you would know that Liverpool would win this comfortably, and even if they do not perform, a win is a shoo in and it would be at least by two or three goals. It might not much given that they are an English Premier League team and playing against a bunch of part timers tonight, but they will do it with their eyes closed be sure about that. There is frankly no challenge tonight and it only serves as a distraction for the Liverpool faithful and team and manager Rafa Benitez.
In fact, this live commentary and TV telecast game continues to present to the world how much Liverpool's American owners have undermined Benitez and the team. They have admitted as much that the only reason they have bought Liverpool is to suck money out of the club for their American sports teams. If that is so, I hope another consortium who are truly devoted to Liverpool would step in and buy over the club. It is becoming scaryingly close that Liverpool might be going the way of Leeds. If the team fails to qualify for the Champions League each season, they will not have money to finance their debts, and they wouldn't have money to buy players, and that means one thing - going straight down, no matter how good a manager they have in Benitez. In fact, I would not be surprised if Benitez leaves the club after this season, and basically hands in his resignation. Nobody would blame him for that, and if that happens, you can basically say goodbye to Liverpool in the English Premier League. Do you know how much money is being paid to baseball players in the United States? If Hicks is determined to take money away from Liverpool to finance those baseball players, you can only expect to see part timers playing for Liverpool in the future.
That said, tonight's live commentary and radio broadcast FA Cup match between Liverpool and Havant & Waterlooville will see further protests against the American owners by Liverpool fans. Unfortunately for them, the club has announced refinancing deals which means the Yanks will still be around to continue destroying the club. It is unlikely they will leave anytime soon, until at least they realised what bad business they have done and dragged Liverpool into. For the Liverpool fans, I hope tonight's live commentary and radio broadcast FA Cup match against Havant & Waterlooville will bring some much needed temporary relief against a backdrop of continuing trouble for the once great soccer club.

EPL 21/1/2008 - Liverpool vs Aston Villa
As this live commentary and play by play soccer game between two English Premier League teams Liverpool and Aston Villa prepare to get underway tonight, the pre-match talk continues to revolve around the boardroom struggle and takeover bids at Liverpool. The American owner Hicks is the real source of the problem with his outspoken ways and believing he can implement his American management methods on a traditional British football club whose fans will not have anything to do with him. In fact, it would be wise of Hicks and Gillett to sell their share of the club now and leave while they can still walk out of Anfield without any verbal and mental abuse from Liverpool fans. They do not know the Liverpool way and should not continue to hurt the club when they do not have the money nor resource to bring the club to the next level and cannot support manager Rafael Benitez with more quality buys like Fernando Torres. This game tonight though is important for Liverpool as they must definitely win to keep pace with the top three and get away from the chasing pack of Aston Villa and Everton who threaten to snatch the Champions League place away from Liverpool.
Aston Villa will not lie down and allow Liverpool to walk all over them in this live commentary and radio broadcast soccer match, as they are determined to get into Europe and possibly the Champions League for the first time. Their powerful striker Jon Carew has had a new lease of life at Villa Park and is showing all the skills and goal instinct that made him a household name for soccer fans in the past, and Aston Villa is reaping the rewards. Liverpool on the other hand has their new poster boy of Fernando Torres but he cannot do everything himself and desperately needs Benitez to get his tactics right in the English Premier League and for his other teammates to wake up and play properly to bring Liverpool to new and future glories.
The action in this live commentary and TV telecast soccer match of the two English Premier League teams Liverpool and Aston Villa promises to be non-stop and the drama continues to unfold over the fate of Liverpool and whether they will go bust, become another chapter in history or be revived and relive their glory days of the past, that is only likely to happen if the American owners sell the club and leave, and allow the Dubai group who claim to be real Liverpool fans, to manage and bring Liverpool onwards.

FA Cup 15/1/2008 - Liverpool vs Luton Town
Get ready for a fiery live commentary and play by play of the FA Cup tie tonight between Liverpool and Luton Town as both teams look to ride past their problems with a victory. The live radio broadcast will see crisis-hit Liverpool attempt to revive their fortunes with a resounding win over Luton Town, while the latter hopes to survive threats of administration and bankruptcy with a win using half a team. As Liverpool's American owners once again undermine the once proud English club by admitting they had sounded out German Juergen Klinnsman for the manager's post, current manager Benitez looks to at least leave with dignity by steering the club to some honours this season. Why do I say leave? Because the current owners have torn the man's dignity to shreds by revealing this news, and it is just not right to treat a man who has brought the club some trophies despite no longer having the brand to attract the best of the best to join, thereby leaving Benitez to settle for second best players. With second best players, you get second best results. Apart from the few gems like Torres, Alonso, Mascherano and Agger, there's really nothing much left to crow about. Although I feel that Benitez is ultimately not the right man for the job due to his lack of motivational skills in terms of the long EPL season, he has done his very best for the club and should have been treated much better. The sight of the man slumped in his dugout seat during the weekend's game against Middlesbrough spoke volumes but do not doubt that he will do his best to win tonight's tie against Luton Town. If the rednecks Tom Hicks and Gillett sell their ownership to the Dubai group, I do not foresee them sticking to Benitez as well due to the recent media mess.
As for Luton Town, the manager has tendered his resignation and near half a dozen players have left after not receiving their pay. Blackwell will have to field some reserve team players tonight but they will all play with their heads held high as the club struggles to stave off administration. I remember the days when Luton was feared for its plastic pitch and spent quite a number of seasons upsetting the bigger teams in the first tier before the English Premier League was born. It is sad to see clubs like Luton spiralling into debt and trouble. My hope is that they stay around but we will never know.
That said, I don't see anything less than a Liverpool win by two to three goals tonight against Luton Town and we should enjoy a nice bit of goalmouth action during the live commentary. Hopefully Benitez now goes all out in every game and fields his best eleven but you know the guy sticks to his guns so expect Crouch and perhaps Kuyt to be upfront while our great servant Carragher will be wearing the captain's armband for his 500th game for the club so cheer the team and manager on and wear the Liverpool badge high and proud.

English FA Cup 6/1/2008 - Stoke vs Newcastle
A battling performance by the strugglers from Newcastle have stayed the hand of execution on Sam Allardyce. It might actually save him the job and lead to an "Alex Ferguson", but in truth, I only see it as just some extra money for him before he finally gets booted out of the Tyneside soccer club. The simple fact is that Allardyce does not have the style that would buy Newcastle fans over, and this is a club that is really run by fans. They chase their managers out of the job before any real results could be had.
For Allardyce and his counterpart at Liverpool, most of the better players would not want to join their clubs. Torre would be an exception to the rule, but just as much as players have become mercenaries in today's game, they also know that the clubs that win trophies are the ones who can afford to pay them more. It just goes to show how much Liverpool might have wasted on average players since winning the Champions League.

FA Cup 6/1/2008 - Luton Town vs Liverpool
Awful. Simply awful. Liverpool just keeps getting worse with each game. They started the match brightly enough, putting Luton under pressure with some bright play from Babel and Youssi. But it quickly degenerated into a war of attrition as they struggled to cope with Luton's aggressive pressure. Granted it was another 'new' team put out up Rafa. While he might insist that soccer is now at such a level that tactics require differentiation every game, but unless you have robots for players, they are going to struggle coping with different players in their surrounding positions every game.
You have to admit it - most footballers aren't very smart. Sure they might be street smart, but on the field, it takes another level of tactical awareness and players in England are more inclined to have their chick radar up instead of spending their evenings going through set plays. I would hope that Rafa has a group that will do the latter. But when your captain relies more on gung-hoisms every game then you know where you are headed.
And that's out of the club gates for Rafa, according to some media quarters over the weekend. There have been suggestions that Jose Mourinho could be on his way to Anfield. If so, I am not sure how that would help, except to put Liverpool on a long unbeaten home run and winning some trophies. Now you mentioned it, yes that would help a lot. But Anfield fans looking for entertainment, be ready to stay away.
