EPL 2/2/2008 - Liverpool vs Sunderland

This live commentary and play by play soccer match in the English Premier League between two clubs in crisis Liverpool and Sunderland should in all honesty be a walkover for the home side Liverpool as they are a club with a rich history and had even recently won the Champions League a few seasons back although that in all honesty was quite a fluke in the first place. With players like Steven Gerrard and Fernando Torres, Liverpool should be a club capable of tearing apart any team just like what Manchester United does to every team nowadays. However, they have a mental block every time, are suffering from a rotation policy that has shown itself not to work at all in the English Premier League but their stubborn manager insists that it does and quotes statistics to show that he is winning with it but the true statistic is that he has not won the English Premier League with such a policy the only thing he has gotten is a Champions League slot and mostly fourth spot, and other than Torres, they do not have a striker who knows where the goal is.

Sunderland on the other hand are even worse and get buried in almost every live commentary and radio broadcast soccer game in the English Premier League in which they are involved. They recently got a morale boosting win in midweek but this game might bring them back down to earth with a resounding thump. Roy Keane still looks clueless in his first season back in the English Premier League as manager and he continues to buy Irish internationals who have failed at the English Premier League level such as Andy Reid this week before transfer deadline and tell me how such a player would be able to guarantee safety in the EPL. In fact, it looks more likely that Roy Keane feels that Sunderland are only good enough for the Championship so he is already planning for next season and probably wishes that they stay in that division. No team could possibly reach his level of expectation except for maybe Manchester United but again only if that team has players as good as he was, or so he thinks.

So in this live commentary and TV telecast soccer game in the English Premier League between Liverpool and Sunderland, we might actually see some relief for the Anfield giants with a good win and many goals. If Liverpool fail to do so, they might really be headed the way of Leeds, and not only should the American owners leave the club, they have to change the manager too. Benitez was good for his time and won us the Champions League bless his soul, but he cannot deliver the prize we so want and that is the English Premier League. Not to mention he has literally wasted most of our money on dodgy players - some of them might be good but seriously, if they were that good, we should have won the EPL title by now but look at Manchester United they have got young hopefuls like Ronaldo and turned them into world beaters what has Benitez done with his acquisitions? Throw them in against part timers and see them get run inside out. Despite all this, it should be a Liverpool win in this live commentary and radio broadcast soccer match in the English Premier League against Sunderland, offering temporary relief and some points as we struggle for fourth spot.
