EPL 3/2/2008 - Fulham vs Aston Villa

The spotlight tonight in this live commentary and radio broadcast soccer match in the English Premier League between Fulham and Aston Villa would mostly be on the new England hope of soccer Gabriel Agbanalahor or however his name is spelt or pronounced. But before we go into that we must first question Roy Hodgon transfer dealings as he has signed Jari Litmanen to try to help the team but the old striker is not even match fit so now you have to spend a week or two to get him up to speed while paying his wages so what good does that do for the team. And then you have the antics involved in trying to sign Daniel Cousin from Rangers but he has not been allowed to join because he had already played for two teams this season so why did Fulham not check on such details and spent the time on trying to get other players instead. Rules and rules and Fulham should have done their due diligence. And Fulham continues to sign American players when you know they are not up to standard and a player like Eddie Johnson gives people that puzzled look as to who in the blue hell is Eddie Johnson and how much can he improve a team like Fulham?

Aston Villa on the other hand continues to impress in this live commentary and TV telecast soccer match in the English Premier League against Fulham in the way only teams under Martin O'Neill can do, and that is through hard work, teamwork and lots of pace and determination. But that can only bring a team that far but maybe a Champions League slot is good enough for a club like Aston Villa who can never realistically hope to challenge for any English Premier League honours except for Cup titles because they do not have the allure to attract star players to their team. But O'Neill works with what he has and he can do well enough to bring his team to contention for fourth spot and he might actually have the edge over the rest of the contenders due to being able to get consistency out of his teams but the problem is they do not score enough goals. New England hopeful Gabriel might be able to solve that problem and now he might be Fabio Capello's sign of the next England revolution but other than pace aplenty, he still has a long way to go and one of them is to show the kind of mental ability required of an enduring star player.

This match could not have come at a better time and it should be a win for Aston Villa in this live commentary and radio broadcast English Premier League encounter against Fulham. Villa is the better team and they have shown consistency on the road as well as away but the real reason for expecting a win over Fulham is because Fulham is just plain awful and with an even worse manager in Roy Hodgson who cannot do well in the English Premier League as he has shown in the past. Especially by buying the players that he has chosen, it will not be surprising if Fulham loses this live commentary and TV telecast English Premier League game against Aston Villa and gets relegated at the end of the season.
