EPL 13/1/2008 - Bolton vs Blackburn

Make no mistake about it, during this live commentary and radio telecast live play by play, there would be much mention of Bolton's ex-manager Sam Allardyce who left the club amidst a cloud of problems and who said Bolton could not go any further. While results after that would provide weight to his words, the soccer club would definitely be gloating that their ex-manager could not bring his career any furhter as well, after being sacked this week by Newcastle. Maybe he could not replace Mark Hughes at Blackburn if the Welshman is approached for the Newcastle job which would complete a fantastic soccer merry go round but Hughes would be mad to do so. Why you ask? Because he is a purveyor of tough uncompromising football for results only and fancy play later and that does not provide you with any job security at Tyneside. Unless you can afford players like Ronaldo and Tevez then you worry about whether your football is beautiful, otherwise results first. No results, no job.

Now, this match analysis and preview of the EPL 13/1/2008 game between Bolton and Blackburn will be very straightforward. I do not rate Gary Megson at all as a manager and he has been known to lose control of his team and players and is a moneygrubber at the end of the day. He'll up and leave for another high paying job even if he has only been at the present one for 1 day. He has never brought much success to any club except disappointment and relegation at the end of each tenure. While Bolton might have improved slightly recently, I am going for Blackburn to give themselves a kick up the backside and provide more resistance and results compared to last week when they were booted out of the FA Cup at home against who knows which team. Now Mark Hughes is a decent manager, but his tenure has been marked by streaks instead of real consistency, so it is high time the team went into a unbeaten run again.

We will find out more during the live commentary and live telecast of this game between Bolton and Blackburn, that is if any one really is interested to find out. There aren't that many fans of both clubs, and if there are, they are usually sorry fans who have little choice since they were born in those areas or when Blackburn actually won the EPL title several years back.
